- Tongo Sail Inn
Beach resort for boat lovers. The international watering hole for bluewater sailors. Tongo Sail Inn is one of the very few beach resorts in Philippines with a typhoon safe anchorage. The anchorage accommodates over 40 ocean going motor yachts and sailing boats. It was used already by the Spaniards when they arrived to Philippines with their galleons in the 16th century. It's probable they were using Polynesian pilots as the word "Tongo" means "mangrove" in Polynesian - Dumaguete City.
