Florida-based, Philippine-born physician who was sentenced to 50 years in prison after she was found guilty by a jury of racketeering, five counts of trafficking in oxycodone and manslaughter in the death of one of her patients. She also was ordered to pay $1.3 million in fines on the trafficking charges. She is appealing the verdict and trying to get a new trial and she needs help!

ìIn February 2006, the Philippine province of Southern Leyte was rocked by mudslides caused by relentless downpour of rain and a minor earthquake. The mudslides devoured everything in their path; villages, crops, livestockÖ and people."
"Upon hearing the news, I threw out the idea of a benefit CD to my fellow musicians and artists here in the US and they responded enthusiastically. Transplanted Pinoys and Filipino-Americans from across the US sent in their donations in form of their songs and eventually I received enough to put together this album. Some are written with the benefit in mind and some are works that have been pulled out of their treasure chests so they could at last be heard for a noble cause. These songs represent our hands reaching across the world to help our fellow Filipinos in need."

MISSING PERSONS On Wednesday the 18th of December 2002, five people went missing while travelling by small pumpboat, called Sto Nino, for a snorkeling trip from San Juan - Siquijor to Apo Island. They never arrived and up till now nothing and nobody has been found. Air searches have been made.

Our beloved Christine is in the US battling cancer, and urgently needs to find a bone marrow donor. Unfortunately, finding a perfect match for her bone marrow type is particularly difficult. This is hard enough for the average person; there are over 20,000 types of bone marrow, so the average person has a 1 in 20,000 chance of finding a match. These numbers are even worse for Christine. Because she is Filipino, she needs to find a donor of the same ethnic background, and there are hardly any Filipinos on the US National Registry. Donating bone marrow is the easiest thing in the
world, it involves just needles...and maybe a little
pain. But what is a little
