The Filipino Community Center, Inc.
is a non-profit tax-exempt organization that was founded in 1989 by concerned Filipinos of Charleston, SC. The Filipino Community Center is a social service agency dedicated to enriching the life of every Filipino and the Filipino-American community. The center is also a place to preserve and enhance the heritage, traditions, ethics, and values of the Filipino culture.

Its members are present residents of Libsong and those former residents who several years ago left its beloved barrio in search for a better life and opportunities abroad. LIA was formed to undertake projects beneficial to the school children in Libsong and the community as well. Libsong is located in the beautiful and scenic town of Lingayen, the capital of the Province of Pangasinan - Goose Creek, SC.

We are in upstate area of South Carolina. Our members are Filipinos and American families, from Greenville/Spartanburg and nearby areas, and as far as Atlanta and North Carolina. Originating from 5 families in 1980ís, we have grown to about 300 families in 2006. Our aim is to excite, inspire, and encourage participation of fellow Filipinos, in preserving and teaching our traditions and culture to our foreign friends and families.
