The timely visit of Father Jaime M. San Andres, a Filipino priest on vacation from his pastoral duties in Nabua, Camarines Sur, Philippines translated the need for the growing number of Filipinos in the Teaneck area to be organizaed into reality when he brought together a core of families that became the nucleus of the association - Teaneck, NJ.

The Filipino Executive Council of Greater Philadelphia is an umbrella organization that coordinates all events by the member Filipino organizations located in the Philadelphia Metropolitan area. This area covers Southeastern Pennsylvania, South Jersey and Delaware.
