Welcome to the Loretonian homepage, brought to you by the members of LUCSAN. Luscan stands for Loretonians of the US and Canada. Loretonians are originally from Loreto, a province in Surigao Del Norte, Philippines. Loretonians have been in the U.S.A. as early as 1915. These Loretonians, along with 30,000 Filipinos, came to North America as “sacadas” or sugar plantation helpers in Hawaii. They are passionate and concerned about the communities in Loreto and Tubajon, Surigao del Norte, Philippines where loved ones still dwell in this remote but lovely place.

BIBAK stands for Benguet, Ifugao , Bontoc , Apayao and Kalinga, which are names of provinces in the northern region of Luzon, Philippines. Inhabitants of these provinces are collectively known as Igorots. BIBAK ASSOCIATION-Northeast USA is one of two BIBAK chapters found in greater New York Area which includes New Jersey, Philadelphia, and the New England States.

Mangkasanon was founded to organize a charter of people and friends of La Carlota City, keep members informed, and attract a broader audience by introducing ourselves to the community. We are mostly composed of people from the East Coast ( NY ) and the MidWest (MN, TX ) but we also have members from the West Coast ( CA ), Canada, Manila and our hometown, La Carlota City. Our hometown is not on the Dark Ages anymore since we do have an Internet Service Provider operating in the city.
