Ten years before the birth of the Filipino Evangelical Church (FEC), the Filipino Christian Fellowship, Inc. was already an active Christian organization in Winnipeg. It had its inception at the Sherbrook Street apartment of Noel & Rosina Lapatha where like-minded church people from different denominations congregated for Bible studies and other wholesome functions. Then, through Broadway-First Baptist Church at Honeyman and Walnut, whose facilities were made available for their worship, studies, sports and other cultural and spiritual functions. Being strangers in a strange land, they found strength and comfort in God and with each otherǃÙs company. The Filipino Christian Fellowship grew as they served - Winnipeg, MB, Canada.
