BLD-Albany is a Catholic community of individuals and families focused on following the principles of discipleship set forth by our Lord, Jesus Christ. Worship is followed by Word study groups taking guidance from the following Sunday's bible readings. Bukas Loob Sa Diyos" is a Filipino name which translates approximately as "Open in Spirit to God". This name reflects BLD's country of origin, The Philippines - Cohoes, NY.

The BLD - Open Spirit To God Covenant Community, normally referred to as simply "BLD", is a communion of families and a community of persons, called together as one people through a moment of encounter and a process of renewal, to a relationship of faith, hope and love with God.

It is with great joy and pride in the Lord that we introduce to you the Bukas Loob sa Diyos (Open to the Spirit) Covenant Community, Archdiocese of Newark, a covenant community and a Private Lay Association of the Faithful in the Archdiocese of Newark - Milburn, NJ.

This website is our way of keeping the members of our community, as well as our BLD Worldwide community, informed of our schedule of events - past, current and future. We strive to keep this website regularly updated so try to find time to drop by often to know the recent and future activities (encounters, teachings, prayer meeting schedules, etc.) that our community offers. They are based in ST. VERONICA CHURCH (Falcon Hall) 434 Alida Way, South San Francisco, CA 94080.

As a communion of encountered families, we are called by the Lord to build communities of disciples of Jesus Christ who, empowered by the Holy Spirit, will renew and strengthen our Christian faithful through programs of Christian encounter (Marriage, Family, Solo Parent, Singles, Youth Encounters and Life in the Spirit Seminars), of Spiritual Growth, of Pastoral Care and of Poverty Alleviation. They are based in the Our Lady of Assumption Church in Toronto.
