- Special Hiring Program for OFWs in Taiwan Signed
A memorandum of understanding (MOU) between the government of Taiwan and the Philippines was recently signed making it possible for employers in Taiwan to directly hire overseas Filipino workers (OFWs).The recruitment scheme is also called the Special Hiring Program for Taiwan (SHPT).

- A Short Report On The Migrant Fishworkers In Taiwan
Migrant workers from poorer countries of Asia, in search of better grounds, which their country cannot provide, have tried to grasp this opportunity by getting into its line in every possible way, no matter legal or illegal, and thus help somewhat solve the labor problem in Taiwan. Filipinos are one of the largest groups of migrant workers in Taiwan. Among the Filipino migrant workers, fishworkers are also many in number. Approximately there are about 30,000 Filipino fishworkers in Taiwan.
