ASP is a leading association of individuals from government, non-government agencies, and private sector with a common u unifying interest in preventing the spread of HIV and AIDS. The Society was established in 1996 by its Founding President, Dr. Ofelia T. Monzon who pioneered investigative studies on HIV/AIDS at the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine in Alabang, Muntinlupa. It is affiliated to the AIDS Society of Asia and the Pacific (ASAP) and Philippine NGO Council on Population, Health and Welfare, Inc (PNGOC) - Scout Tuazon St., Quezon City.

The Project stasrted in January 2006 and will be implemented for one year in partnership with Health Development Initiatives Institute (HDII)) and is supported by the Philippine National AIDS Council (PNAC) and the UNAIDS. The Project supplements and complements earlier efforts undertaken to put in place a comprehensive national Monitoring and Evaluation System for HIV/AIDS.

A support institution to sectors involved in the prevention of HIV/AIDS and the management of its impact on Philippine Society; programs include family flanning, adolescent reproductive health, and reproductive health promotion. PHANSuP provides financial support to NGOs and CBOs in underserved areas in the country to implement Reproductive Health initiatives - New Manila, Quezon City.

Pinoy RH is an electronic forum and blog on sexual and reproductive health in the Philippines. Pinoy RH aims to address issues relating to reproductive health, such as family planning, maternal mortality, unsafe abortion, STDs, HIV and AIDS. It would also allow members to share ideas and experiences with other members and discuss issues that are important to the members' programs. The exchange of information and experiences could help reduce duplication of efforts, and would benefit the larger community.
