Southern Tagalog is divided into two sub-regions. Last May 17, 2002, President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo approved Executive Order (EO) No. 103 ǃ˙Dividing Region IV into Region IV-A and Region IV-B, tTransferring the province of Aurora to Region III and for other purposesǃ˘ which divided the Southern Tagalog into two sub-regions namely: CALABARZON and MIMAROPA - Calamba, Laguna.
