The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID)/Philippines has launched a new education program to improve access to quality education and livelihood skills in areas affected by conflict and poverty, particularly in Mindanao. The principal vehicle for implementing this new program is the Education Quality and Access for Learning and Livelihood Skills (EQuALLS) Project.

Our goal is to improve the health of the population and in particular the poor by enhancing the quality of decentralized health services and population programs. Technical assistance, innovative expertise and guidance in participatory processes are our means. We work in strong partnerships with the Department of Health (DoH), the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth), Commission on Population (POPCOM), National Pharmaceutical Foundation Inc. (NPF), and the participating local government units (LGUs) - Shaw Blvd., Pasig City; Rizal Avenue, Sta. Cruz, Manila; Candahug, Palo, Leyte.

Carries out a variety of programs for the purpose of promoting mutual understanding and friendship on the international scene. The Japan Foundation Manila Office is the 18th Overseas Office to be established. Its primary work is collecting local information, conducting surveys, expediting programs initiated at the Foundation Headquarters, and promoting programs for the introduction of Japanese culture through cooperation with local groups - Makati City.

Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) is a governmental agency of Japan which is responsible for the technical cooperation of Japan's Official Development Assistance (ODA) programs. JICA has about 1,200 staff members working both in Japan and at its more than fifty overseas offices, including the Philippine Office. JICA Philippine Office gives life to JICA's motivating principles, "Human Resources Development, Nation-building, and Heart-to-Heart Communication" - Makati City.

LMIP supports the Commission for Information and Communications Technology's (CICT) Community e-Center (CeC) Program in providing Filipinos with access to ICT technologies and services, particularly in rural or unserved communities. Implemented through the USAID- funded Economic Modernization through Efficient Reforms through Governance Enhancement (EMERGE) Project, LMIP seeks to develop and identify affordable, sustainable and replicable models for bridging the digital divide.

The Millennium Challenge Account - Philippines Threshold Program (MCA-PTP) is an anti-corruption and revenue administration enhancement initiative of the Philippine government. The MCA-PTP Technical Assistance Project (MCA-PTP TAP) helps the Philippine government achieve its MCA-PTP goals, mainly through capacity-building measures. It is supported by a US$20.6 million program grant provided by the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), a US government-owned corporation. The grant is administered by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented by Management Systems International - Sedeno corner Valero Sts., Salcedo Village, Makati City.

Urban and Periurban Small and Medium-Sized Enterprise Development for Sustainable Vegetable Production and Marketing Systems (PUVeP) - a project of the European Commission and carried out in the Philippines by Xavier University College of Agriculture and Bukidnon Seed Corporation.

A non-stock, non-profit consortium of non-government organizations (NGOs) that contributes to social change by creating a favorable development environment. For the past 14 years, it works to reduce the causes of poverty and inequity in the country - funded by the Canadian International Development Agency - UP Village, Quezon City.

The Canadian International Development Agency ( CIDA ) has been supportive of the decentralization efforts of the Government of the Philippines since the promulgation of the Local Government Code (LGC) or Republic Act. No.7160. In response to the Philippine government's policies on devolution, the Philippines-Canada Local Government Support Program (LGSP) was conceived on October 11, 1991 with the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement between the governments of Philippines and of Canada thus, making LGSP a key contributor to the critical work on local governance - Pasig City.

Research grants to promote the study of the shared cultural heritage of Spain and the Philippines - cooperation between Ministry of Education, Culture & Sports of Spain and Institutions of Higher Learning in the Philippines and the Pacific Islands - Ateneo de Manila University, Quezon City.

Sustainable Coastal Tourism in Asia (Philippines) is a technical assistance project funded by the United States Agency for International Development and implemented by The Louis Berger Group, Inc. Covering the period September 2004 to August 2007, SCOTIA works with key partners and stakeholders through an alliance of conservation advocates and local and international tourism operators. SCOTIA's principal objective is to strengthen the capability of local communities in 6 coastal areas in the Philippines to manage, in partnership with the private sector, their marine and coastal ecosystem - Chino Roces Avenues, Makati City.

The Program considers a broad range of projects in the Humanities and the Social Sciences which study and articulate the shared heritage and the shared future of Spain, the Philippines and the Pacific Islands. It also awards grants for studies on Spain, either historical or contemporary.
