Building a brighter future for the Southeast Asian people. The activities of ASEAN Foundation focus on human skills and knowledge, in order to meet the demands for industries and economies of the future. Priority is given to human resource development projects involved in education, training, seminars, workshops, exchanges, network-building, fellowships and information dissemination - Jakarta, Indonesia.

Serves as the central focus for networking and institutional linkage among ASEAN Members Countries (AMCs) and between ASEAN and European Union (EU) partner organizations to enhance the capacity of ASEAN in promoting biodiversity conservation.

The ASEAN Declaration states that the aims and purposes of the Association are: (i) to accelerate the economic growth, social progress and cultural development in the region through joint endeavours in the spirit of equality and partnership in order to strengthen the foundation for a prosperous and peaceful community of Southeast Asian nations, and (ii) to promote regional peace and stability through abiding respect for justice and the rule of law in the relationship among countries in the region and adherence to the principles of the United Nations Charter - Jakarta, Indonesia.

Main objectives are to: promote close ties among the national medical associations and physicians in ASEAN; study and report on the problems which confront the profession in the region; and establish common policies in attaining the highest possible level of healthcare for the people - Singapore.

A funding mechanism, which allows the ASEAN Secretariat (ASEC) to engage ASEAN and Australian economic research organizations (including public and private sector research institutions and qualified economics consulting firms) and individual researchers in the provision (through specific research contracts) of regional economic policy analysis for the Secretariat - Jakarta, Indonesia.

The ASEAN Sub-Committee on Youth (ASY) is proud to present Youth@ASEAN, a homepage for the youth of ASEAN. This homepage will serve as a useful resource for both youths and officials who may want to know more about the policies, programmes and many activities of the ASY members.
