- PinoyBites
A celebration of Filipino food. For most Filipinos abroad, the smell of adobo or of pandesal bring back good memories of home. Nothing compares to having a sumptuous meal of Filipino dishes in a foreign country and enjoying it with friends and fellow kababayans (countrymen). You maybe anywhere in the world, in Dubai, in Singapore, in Chicago or Vancouver but in many ways, our food serves as an umbilical cord to our homeland and our heritage. The Filipino food, thus, has served as a reminder of our national identity as Filipinos.

- Purple Girls' Kitchen
I am a foodie, a hard-core one at that. I love all kinds of food and will try just about anything that's cooked. My entire family is the same way. Especially my hubby -- our lives revolve around food. I'm a stay-at home mom who loves to cook. But I mostly cook traditional Filipino food which is what my three-year old would only eat. I also never use nor have ever used a cookbook. My recipes are handed down from my lola (grandma) who taught my mom how to cook who in turn 'showed' me how.

- The Unofficial Cook
Blog from a forty-something late bloomer who found her way from the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and now Colorado - thru sheer dumb luck. The Unofficial Cook is meant to be a showcase/self-incriminating record of my daily regular forays into the wifely domain known as the kitchen.
