- Support the Macambol Campaign
The Macambol community (in Davao Oriental) has been calling for the cancellation of the Mineral Production Sharing Agreement (MPSA) permits of the two mining companies.
They have already filed a demand letter before the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) to cancel the mining permits. But it seems that the call had fallen into the deaf ears of the government agency.
The destruction of the environment -- Mt. Hamiguitan and Pujada Bay -- would also mean destruction of the lives of the people who depend on the resources found in the area.
