- Land of the Morning
The San Francisco Craft & Folk Art Museum's exhibit called Land of the Morning: Treasures of the Philippines. Land of the Morning brought to San Francisco a first look at the grandeurs of the Philippine cultural heritage. The exhibition comprised of approximately seventy-five objects, dating from 500 A.D. to 1900 A.D., and from a wide range of island cultures.

The Southwestern University Museum houses the rare collectionof Dr. Lydia Aznar-Alfonso. Spanning 30 years, this remarkable collection was kept in her basement making sure that Cebu could have a legacy of a rich cultural heritage of iron-age potteries excavated in Cebu and its neighboring islands, to rare celadons and a magnificent blue and white collection, in particular a Yuan bowl, one of the three early blue and white extra large bowl found in the Philippines.
