BAO - an undistinguished versatile group who made major contribution in anime, rom translation (SNES emulation), software/game development and hacking on the Internet. The group was classmates since 1984 in The Gentle Shepherd School, Novaliches, North Caloocan, Philippines. They were the first rom hackers who translated the game EMIT for the SNES. They have a unique method of romhacking by booting Japanese DOS (Ezjap) then loading Norton Disk Editor, a simple hex editor. BAO was using JapDOS since 1994 to play hentai games from ELF like Isaku and Aishimai. Their enthusiasm in playing hentai games brought them to distribute as warez on the Internet. In 1998, Peter Payne of JastUSA caught their attention to stop distributing games.

From those eight people BROOD now has more than seventy members from so far seven countries worldwide, although most of it is from the Philippines. The organization of Brotherhood of Destiny (BRO-O-D) was never planned. It can be said that the inspiration of the organization was the anime Hunter X Hunter.
