The University of the Philippines Philippine Studies Program is a study-abroad program for international Philippine Studies scholars, with a summer program designed for Filipino-Americans and a winter program for Japanese students - New York, NY.

The University of the Philippines Singing Ambassadors (UPSA) ALIW Awardee for Best Choir of 2002, the Most Outstanding University Choir in the 2004 Who's Who in the Philippines Consumer's Choice Awards and the Philippine entry to the UNESCO International Music Prize 2005 held in Paris, France is the University's Official Performing Group for Choreographed Choral Music and the resident choir of the UP College of Arts and Letters.

As the only national university in the country, the University of the Philippines System takes pride in being the pioneer in higher education through academic excellence, outstanding research, public service, and modernized facilities. Established in 1908, UP started as a small Manila campus with only a few colleges. Over the years, UP has made a reputation for itself as a research and graduate university that produces scientific and creative outputs of the highest quality which receive both national and in international recognition.

The University of the Philippines Alumni Association(UPAA) would bring back the "Bells of Diliman" for the University's 2008 Centennial Celebration. Thus, during the 92nd Alumni Homecoming in June 2005, the UPAA Board of Directors officially launched the U.P. Carillon Restoration Project. The Project Committee set two main objectives. First, to restore the campanile, its tower and surroundings. This involves technical evaluations, fund raising, actual repairs, and replacements, and the landscaping of the immediate environs. The second goal is to institutionalize the Carillon's operation and maintenance. Aside from preserving the bells' musicality and the physical upkeep, this includes maintaning scholarships to ensure the availability of a steady pool of well-trained carillonneurs.

The University of the Philippines Guitar Orchestra is the first and only guitar orchestra in the country today. Founded in 1997 by its music director Mr. Lester Demetillo, it is composed of outstanding students majoring in Guitar from the University of the Philippines College of Music.
