The University of the Philippines (UP) Alumni Association of Greater Chicago is a nonprofit organization of alumni, former students, and friends of UP.
Our mission is to:
* build a group of dedicated UP alumni that will
* promote, support, and further elevate the quality education at the University,
* enhance the cultural, scientific, and educational endeavors of the Filipino community,
* generate and develop appreciation of concerns directly affecting the University and the Filipino community,
* through collaboration and networking of alumni, former students and friends
* inspired by a keen sense of civic spirit and loyalty to the alma mater.

Ang UPAM ay binubuo ng mga Iskolar ng Bayan na kasalukuyang naninirahan sa Minnesota. Malayo man ang Alma Mater naming mahal, ang mga pinag-aralan at napag-aralan sa loob at labas ng mga silid-aralan ng UP ang siya pa ring gumagabay sa pakikisalamuha sa buhay sa isang bayang dayuhan. Pagpatnubay sa Diyos at pagmamahal sa Inang Bayan ay aming palalawakin. At, ang pagsulong at pag-unlad ng Bansang Pilipinas ay maaatim natin.

- University of the Philippines Geology Alumni Association
The teaching of geology at UP began in 1914 when service geology courses were offered for the Liberated Arts degree at the Padre Faura campus in Manila. In 1924, when Dr. Jose Ma. Feliciano returned from the US where he obtained a Ph. D. degree in Geology from the University of Chicago, the department of Geology and geography was organized. He was the first chairman of the department. He held this position until his demise in 1955.

The founding alumni were simply getting together, renewing ties, and enjoying friendships. Its success spread by word of mouth and soon became an annual reunion celebration of friends and colleagues from both the School and College of Nursing, University of the Philippines - Rancho Palos Verdes, CA.

A non-stock, non-profit association organized in 2003 for the primary purpose of bringing together the UP Alumni in various parts of Singapore. The organization seeks to devote its efforts to the advancement of the UP Cause and Ideals as well as pioneer in the identification, conceptualization and implementation of projects for the benefit of the UP campus and the community at large.
