Fernando Z√≥bel was one of the greatest Hispano-Filipino artists of his time, but ask laymen and experts alike and it would be evident that little is known of him apart from cursory information on his landmark paintingsǃÓor apart from whatever conceptions the lineage of his prominent surname brings. This Web site aims to present the varied and deeply engaging facets of ZobelǃÙs life, such that people may appreciate a holistic, integrated view of himǃÓto gain a richer understanding of his life and the aesthetic processes behind his important artistic achievements.

I am an international artist-print maker based in Chicago. Born in the Philippines. My genealogy is traced back to the town of Assisi in the Umbria region of Italy. I do etchings, woodcuts, portrait art commissions and work on various style, medium and genre. I have done inner-city murals and outdoor sculptures which were fun and challenging. My clients are art collectors who find value on the originality of my style and technique. Fred is the foremost proponent of baybain and kut kut, both of which are ancient Philippine forms of art.

The pictures he paints are the most honest and sincere imagery of life because he has seen it for himself as a man with humble beginnings. As a strapping young man he was raised to live off from the bounty of the seas. Deciding to be a painter instead of following the footsteps of his father, the fisher’s son who hails from Surigao would excel in the field of visual arts.

Keiye Miranda is an artist from Angono, Rizal. Keiye Miranda's works are either familiar or unique underwater images of people and objects that float, weave through or swim around. They deal with personal space, time, memory, thoughts and experiences. The images suggest a sense of movement, as the light on the water attempts to recapture the original form. This enables one to trace or transcend the movement of thought, and explore, for instance, the dimension of solace and solitude...
