Bioseed Research Philippines, Inc., established in the year 1993, is engaged in research, production, processing and marketing of hybrid Corn, Rice, Cotton and Vegetable seeds. As of date, BRPI has several accredited hybrids (accredited by the Philippine Seed Board – National Seed Industry Council, NSIC). Starting from 1993, BRPI basically did applied research for the next 4 years and come 1996-97, it started its commercial operations in the Philippines. Presently, BRPI has established corn, rice and cotton hybrids competitive in yields and other traits in the Philippines - National Highway, Katangawan, General Santos City.

Year 1985 marks the beginning of a huge success in the history of gardening in La Union. The venerable owner Mr. Romulo Esteban started his garden with the name “BUNAH-VITA Green Garden”, “Bunah-Vita” is a Greek word, “bunah” means “God has build” and “vita” means “Life”. Therefore, the word bunah-vita stands for “God has build life”.
The garden is situated in Baccuit Sur, Bauang, La Union in front of the owner’s residence. With the goal of bringing variety of trees and plants to their locality, Mr. Esteban is determined to expand his business.

- Carolina Bamboo Garden
Home of indigenous and exotic varieties of bamboos. The Carolina Bamboo Garden was launched on May 6, 2000 in Sitio Tanza II, Bgy. San Jose, Antipolo City. The place which houses both indigenous and exotic varieties of plants is a fine venue for conducting researches on the various aspects of bamboo production and utilization. The garden was named after its founder and owner, Mrs. Carolina Gozon Jimenez. There are 27 bamboo species that have been collected and successfully cultivated in the Garden with the total area of 5 ha. In the garden, one has a good opportunity to enjoy diverse bamboo species, such as, Bayog (Bambusa sp. 1), Black bamboo (gigantochloa), Buddha√¢Ç«®Ç—¢s belly (Bambusa tuldodes), Giant bamboo (Dendrocalamus asper), Yellow bamboo (Bambusa Vulgaris var. striata) and many others. Planting stocks used were offsets, culm cuttings and seeds.

Cornworld Breeding Systems Corporation was started in October 18, 1989. Its breeding nursery and commercial operation is based at BMD Seed Farm, Barangay Rizalina, Aurora, Isabela. Cornworld is the only Seed Corn Company located in Luzon where approximately 55% of Hybrid corn seed is planted. At first, industry people thought it was too daring to establish it there due to occasional strong typhoons and drought, but later it was proven that it is the better environment to develop varieties with lodging tolerance and other desirable traits. In partnership with Filipino corn partners, we hope to do more to help alleviate countryside poverty in a friendly and sustainable manner - Padre Rada St., Tondo, Manila.
