Cadiz, the northernmost city in the Province of Negros Occidental and Negros Island has always been identified as the place where one can buy the freshest of fish and the cheapest of dried fish. Little has been known of her however, and few have known her so well - because Cadiz is not just not fish. Her once lush and large stretch of sugarcane fields are gradually giving way to other profitable industries like bangus and prawn culture, forest tree plantations, socialized and low-cost housing subdivisions, cutflowers and irrigated rice-land plantations.
