Calamba is the strategic point of trade and commerce of the five municipalities of Misamis Occidental comprising of: Plaridel, Lopez Jaena, Baliangao, Sapang Dalaga and Concepcion. As a predominantly agricultural area, the community has much to offer. It has an abundant supply of coconut as the main product. The existing cash crops, root crops, vegetables and other production are not limited in a backyard scale, giving priority response to the economic condition of the farmers and its family. With the increase of farm production, it can supply the whole province's domestic needs. Its surplus will either be used as raw materials for other by-products and can supply throughout the province and the region as a whole.

- Panaon
The municipality of Panaon was formerly a part of Palilan, now Jimenez. It has 16 barangays and has a total land area of 4,600 hectares or 66 square kilometers. It is the second smallest among the 14 municipalities of Misamis Occidental.
Panaon is located between the municipalities of Aloran in the north and Jimenez in the south. To the town’s east is Iligan Bay anf to the west is the Mt. Malindang Range.
