- Cavinti, Laguna
A town in the outskirt of the Province of Laguna and is situated in the foothills of Sierra Madre Mountain Ranges. The town's name came from a Tagalog expression, "kabit sa binti." The Aetas, the early dwellers of the land, performed a wedding ritual, which has the groom run after his bride to the riverbank. The groom will try to capture his bride by her legs ("binti", in Tagalog), with the witnesses shouting, "Kabit sa binti, kabit sa binti!" This phrase later became "Kabinti," hence the town's name Cavinti.

- Pamahalaang Bayan ng Paete, Laguna
Official homepage of the municipal government (munisipyo) of Paete, Laguna. Paete lies at the foot of the green Sierra Madre mountains looking northwest halfway across the water towards Mabitac hill peninsula and on to what seems to be infinity itself. One does not see Manila from here. The silvery water is not the China Sea, but simply Laguna de Bay (Lake of Ba-i), the largest lake in Southeast Asia.

- Welcome to Pakil
The lands from Punto Inuod to Guinabihan (Banilan) is where the first settlers Gat Maitan and his wife Panumbalihan and Gat Salyan Maginto and his wife Potongan first established themselves, but after sometime, being molested by pirates and marauders, they moved to the present site of the poblacion, but leaving behind Chief Maginoong Dalaga who ruled the place. This accounts why Pakil has two territories, the eastern and the western sides of the lake.
